T O P I C R E V I E WgeminstoneOk so,... I know, it was completely accidental... which only points to being irresponsible However, she arrived and, not just on the doorstep but, through the door one day and has decided since, to stay.... That said, the biggest issue has been funds.... obviously, we will now take on the results of these things combined. I would be telling untruths if I tried to imply that I was'nt excited though! She's a sweet cat and her little ones will arrive to much love. I do wonder though, as I do not wish to bring another litter after this one, how long after giving birth can a spay be performed? If anyone knows off hand, I would appreciate the knowledge, very much If not, I will be placing a call to my local 'Planned Pethood' in the morning anyway....but, I really am excited and, wanted to share ~ geminstone*** sorry, it's soooo mongo! *** aquaoh tell us about the good news as soon as possible !geminstoneYou Got it!! The last time I witnessed a cat giving birth, I think I was about 4 so, I'm a bit anxious... silly really, considering I have given birth twice myself but,... still, I do worry... She is a sweet, crazy little angel kitty though I'm greatful she adopted us She beat the daylights out of my Cheekah, this afternoon.... I think she has to be very near due, her grumpy, uncomfortable attitude is out! Cheekah is my chihuahua... she is posted in the photoshop in my album 'Librani1'... I'd save the trouble but, gawww they can't all be so gigantos!! Anyway, before the novelist jumps from within me......Thanks Aqua I will keep this updated.~ geminstoneNephthys Congratulations! How exciting! Keep us updated! geminstoneOk so, my Beeps became Mommy to 4 beautiful furrballs yesterday afternoon... It was an interesting trip! I had a sneeking suspiscion that, her sudden anger towards my dog was significant... Anyway, the 4 are the whole of her litter, all alive and well! I'll get a few picture's up asap but, don't want to be a disturbance to the very new Mommy... They are adorable though and, it appears that through this birthing experience, a bond has also been made between Beeps and myself... she's cuddling me right now as she is taking a little break from her brood. ~ geminstoneNephthys Wonderful and Congratulations! Can't wait for the pics! Moon666Child< cat slave!beautiful, and cute!and yes, after giving birth, spaying can be done, after about 2-3 weeks I guess. We have done this on our previous cat, and things were good, except that we need to take good care of the mother and kittens.------------------Welcome Home to GhostVillagegeminstoneWell, this is the best I can get right now... they like the huddle still and, I don't want to stress my Beeps out... I'll get more as they grow though They are adorable!! ... ~ geminstone** oh gaw! I so want to say THANK YOU, Moon666Child... the info is appreciated, greatly ******Sun_ScorpionAwwww how cute!! I bet Beeps' so grateful shes got such a nice person taking care of her and her babies!! Keep is updated! angel_of_hopeAww they are so cute!! So teeny tiny! Its quite the miracle to watch them giving birth. Their motherly instincts take over right away. What a neat experience. Beeps is beautiful! I love that bright white coat of hers. Many people say the most loyal animals are the ones who find you!! On the spaying ... typically you want to wait until the kittens have been weaned from the mother (6-8weeks) They say to wait until after that because the size of the uterus and mammary (sp?)glands are reducing at this point - making the removal process easier on the vet and safer, as well as easier on the feline. My vet had told me to figure on waiting a week or two after they've been weaned. So in all ... you could be looking at 6-10 weeks. Give or take, depending on how early the kittens become independant. Another caution is, to try to keep her indoors, since cats can become pregnant with in a month and a half or so of giving birth.Congrats!! ang~geminstoneAng, Thanks so much, for the spay info... it'll be a fight to keep her in but, better than having more kitties and, running out of friends to provide good homes...I am already sooo attached... It is such an amazing experience. Beeps did very well actually, since it was the first go for her. The first kittens arrival was kind of a crazy moment... she launched herself out of the queening box, directly at me!! She was angry! Mostly scared though,...I had to show her what had just caused the pain and, once I did, she began getting the kitten cleaned up. She had the other 3 without any crazies. They are perfect and lovely... I tell her all the time, she's done beautiful! I too, am a firm believer, that when you are adopted it holds much significants. I knew the moment she looked at me that it was no accident, that she happened upon me... She's my little Angel kitty... my Beeps Thanks All! I'll get more pics soon ~ geminstone silvermoonCONGRATS, geminstone !!!aquai am soo... happy for u.........CONGRATS !!!
